Kretell (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our platform at kretell.com. By using Kretell, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Kretell is an AI-powered LinkedIn content generation platform founded by Rahul and Roumi Gop, headquartered in Frisco, Texas, United States. We serve professionals across 19 countries. For privacy matters, contact us at privacy@kretell.com.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
Account Data
Name, email address, password (hashed), and profile information you provide when registering.
LinkedIn Content You Upload
LinkedIn posts you voluntarily upload to build your voice profile. This content is used exclusively to train your personal voice model. We do not access your LinkedIn account directly — all uploads are manual.
Voice Profile Data
Derived data from your uploaded posts — writing patterns, tone markers, structural preferences — stored as your Voice Profile (up to 99 markers). This is the core of Kretell's AI personalisation.
Usage Data
How you interact with the platform — features used, content generated, quality scores, session duration. Used to improve the product and your experience.
Payment Data
Billing is handled entirely by Dodo Payments. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details. We receive transaction confirmation and subscription status only.
Device and Technical Data
IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate geographic location (country level) used for geo-based pricing and security.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate the Kretell platform
- Generate AI-powered content that matches your writing voice
- Train and improve your personal Voice Profile over time
- Process payments and manage subscriptions via Dodo Payments
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) via Resend
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Display geo-appropriate pricing based on your country
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your uploaded LinkedIn posts to train any general AI model. Your voice data is yours.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure with servers in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+)
- Encryption at rest (AES-256)
- Row-level security on all database tables
- Regular security audits
- Access controls limiting employee data access
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party Services
We work with the following trusted third parties:
- Supabase — database and authentication (USA)
- Dodo Payments — payment processing and subscription management
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Anthropic / OpenAI — AI model inference for content generation
- Vercel / Replit — application hosting and deployment
- ipapi.co — country detection for geo-based pricing (no personal data stored)
Each third party has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to certain processing activities
- Withdrawal — withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@kretell.com. We will respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data and Voice Profile within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records for tax purposes, retained for 7 years). Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
8. Children's Privacy
Kretell is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at privacy@kretell.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. International Data Transfers
Kretell operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our primary infrastructure is located. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions with data transfer restrictions, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other appropriate safeguards to protect your data during international transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email and by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Kretell after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
